Tangerang, October 7, 2026 – PT Garuda Daya Pratama Sejahtera (GDPS), a member of the Garuda Indonesia Group, shared its transformation journey through the book discussion Beyond the Horizon: Seven Years of GDPS Transformation at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (FEB UI), Wednesday (7/10/2026).
The discussion featured GDPS President Director Cornelis Radjawane, GDPS Director of Human Resources & Operations Vicky Firmansyah, and Head of the FEB UI Management Institute Dr. Yasmine Nasution as speakers, attended by approximately 50 students, academics, and industry practitioners.
Through this book, GDPS shared lessons learned from its business journey, covering service development, human capital strengthening, and technology advancement.
GDPS President Director Cornelis Radjawane stated that transformation has been GDPS's step toward continuously providing solutions that remain relevant to its customers.
"GDPS's transformation is not only about how we grow as a business, but about how we continuously improve our capacity to deliver relevant solutions for our customers. From previously focusing on workforce provision, we have kept moving toward solution-based services by integrating people, processes, data, and technology," said Cornelis.
This journey also contributed to GDPS's workforce growth of 44% over two years, covering 139 projects in 93 cities, with workers deployed across several countries.
In line with this business transformation, strengthening human resources became a key part of ensuring the changes could progress sustainably. GDPS Director of HR & Operations Vicky Firmansyah also conveyed that competency development must go hand in hand with technological advancement.
"Technology is ultimately an enabler. The driver remains the people. That is why GDPS's transformation is built simultaneously through competency strengthening, talent development, performance systems, and work culture," said Vicky.
Meanwhile, Head of FEB UI Management Institute Dr. Yasmine Nasution noted that GDPS's experience is highly relevant as a learning resource for students in understanding the application of strategy and technology in the business world.
"Collaboration between the academic world and industry is important because students need not only concepts, but also an understanding of how those concepts are applied in real business situations. GDPS's experience in carrying out transformation can serve as a relevant example and learning case for students," said Yasmine.
Through this collaboration, GDPS hopes that Beyond the Horizon will serve as a learning resource and case study for students, academics, and practitioners, while also providing the company with a foundation to continue adapting to the evolving dynamics of the BPO industry.
