Tangerang, March 20, 2025 – PT Garuda Daya Pratama Sejahtera (GDPS), part of the Garuda Indonesia Group, has successfully worked with law enforcement to take action against fraudsters who misused the company’s name for unauthorized recruitment schemes.
“Fraud schemes have become increasingly prevalent, and as a BPO company offering various job openings, we are particularly vulnerable to such illegal activities. GDPS prioritizes transparency and professionalism in every recruitment process, which is why we will take firm action against any form of fraud perpetrated in GDPS’s name,” stated Cornelis Radjawane, President Director of GDPS.
The fraud case began when MS posted job advertisements under the company’s name using his personal phone number. MS then requested money from victims totaling Rp 1,500,000 under the pretext of administrative fees. After receiving payment, MS promised to create fake GDPS ID cards.
After intensive investigation, GDPS and authorities successfully uncovered fraudulent practices that harmed many job seekers. The case of forgery and fraud has now been processed through legal channels, and MS, as the defendant, has been sentenced to 1 year and 4 months imprisonment by the Tangerang District Court.
“GDPS is committed to creating a work environment built on integrity. We consistently instill a culture of honesty and transparency in our daily operations. This case serves as a warning that such criminal activities cannot be tolerated and will be firmly addressed by law enforcement. If anyone witnesses or directly experiences demands for payment during our recruitment process, they can report it to the GDPS Whistleblowing System,” Cornelis added.
Cornelis also urged the public to remain vigilant about circulating information. During the selection process, GDPS never charges candidates any fees. All selection stages, from registration to results announcement, are conducted at no cost. GDPS also never mentions specific officials in communications with job candidates.
As a preventive measure, PT GDPS has established a Whistleblowing System (WBS) as a channel for reporting suspected violations including fraud, corruption, criminal acts, and ethical breaches involving employees or other parties within the company. Anyone who witnesses or directly experiences demands for payment during recruitment can report this to the GDPS Whistleblowing System, accessible through the official website at www.wbsgdps.com.
