Application of Akhlak Core Values and Integrity Principles: Aircraft Cleaning at PT Garuda Daya Pratama Sejahtera Reports Total Value of Findings Up to 300 Million Throughout 2022

Upholding the value of integrity, Aircraft Cleaning at PT Garuda Daya Pratama Sejahtera (GDPS) showed positive results in 2022. AIC represents the supervision activity of cleaning all work surfaces on aircraft within a specified timeframe. In their daily work, GDPS Aircraft Cleaning personnel always conduct briefings before entering their work area. During these briefings, Aircraft Cleaning personnel are equipped with materials about Aircraft Cleaning procedures and the instilling of Akhlak Core Values. Aircraft cleaning activities begin with removing large waste from the aircraft cabin to areas outside the aircraft, such as from seat pockets and galley waste, and ending in the lavatory. After the process of removing large waste, personnel proceed with detailed cleaning. Once the cleaning phase is complete, the Aircraft Cleaning team leader conducts a cross-check of the work results.

During cabin cleaning, Aircraft Cleaning personnel frequently discover passenger items left behind. This is where the honesty values of Aircraft Cleaning personnel are tested, through the application of Akhlak Core Values instilled in each individual. In 2022, Aircraft Cleaning personnel achieved remarkable results with the integrity they demonstrated in field operations. During 2022, Aircraft Cleaning returned 128 passenger items valued at approximately Rp 300,738,500 (three hundred million seven hundred thirty-eight thousand five hundred rupiah).

Muhammad Zubair Asy’ari, Vice President of Operations at GDPS, stated, “By upholding the trust and honesty wrapped in the value of integrity, GDPS Aircraft Cleaning personnel performed their work excellently in 2022 and hope to serve as an example not only for GDPS employees but also for society, to continue upholding integrity values and deepening the Akhlak Core Values.”

As a form of appreciation for GDPS Aircraft Cleaning personnel who prioritized honesty in safeguarding and returning customer property, GDPS presented a symbolic certificate as recognition to AIC personnel during a ceremony held at Terminal 3 Apron of Soekarno-Hatta Airport for the 2022 period. “This award proves that holding firmly to honesty and trust is the most important thing for the smoothness and success of activities we undertake. Hopefully, GDPS’s AIC (Aircraft Cleaning) operations can continue to improve in demonstrating honesty and trustworthiness in their work,” said Muhammad Zubair Asy’ari.
